Mother flips when her Black ex-boyfriend puts cornrows in their bi-racial daughter's hair.
A mother is receiving a lot of backlash after the father of her child posted a text conversation over him having their bi-racial daughters hair "cornrowed." "My daughter is more White!"
It makes you wonder how can someone at one point fall in love with a Black man, lay with a Black man, have a half BLACK child and spew such hatred? As a bi-racial Black woman myself, I grew up listening to all types of music. My hair was styled in a manner that was best for my hair type (sometimes braids, sometimes messy ponytails.)
Clearly this woman has unresolved issues with her ex and is using the child to display her bitterness. The child unfortunately, will have to deal with this foolishness. It is sad that a child of bi-racial ethnicity is forced to "choose a side" when it comes to their heritage.
What's also sad is that this woman has an ugly heart to say that cornrows are "ugly." What makes hair "acceptable?" Her ignorance is astounding. I give kudos to the dad for first, caring for his daughter like a real father is suppose to do, and second, for maintaining his composure. Hopefully, this beautiful little girl can grow learning about both of her cultures and accept them both.
